What cleaning does

PDFs can carry document properties such as a title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, and timestamps. This page reads those standard fields locally and can create a fresh copy with them cleared.

Inspect first: the metadata grid is read-only and does not rewrite your input.
Download a copy: cleaning creates a new PDF in memory and leaves the source file immutable.
Know the limit: annotations, attachments, XMP, hidden content, and custom identifiers may still contain information.
