SRT vs WebVTT Differences

SRT (SubRip) is the universal format for desktop media players and NLE video editors (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci), formatting milliseconds with commas (e.g. 00:00:01,500). WebVTT (.vtt) is the W3C standard for HTML5 web video, requiring a WEBVTT header and dot-delimited milliseconds.

Extracting Clean Transcripts

When turning interviews, presentations, or podcast episodes into articles, raw subtitles cluttered with timestamps and cue numbers are painful to read. Lucentool uses high-speed client-side regex stream filtering to purge all timing artifacts, producing clean, continuous speech transcripts.
