Working days vs calendar days
Working days are Monday–Friday (in most of the world). Contracts, shipping promises and legal deadlines usually mean working days — a "10 working day" delivery from Friday lands two calendar weeks later, not 10 days later. This calculator does the counting so the surprise is gone.
What it handles
- Count mode: business days between any two dates, with the weekend split shown.
- Add mode: the exact date N working days from a start — handles the weekends automatically, negative N works too.
- Holidays: public holidays vary by country and company; the calculator doesn't assume any — subtract them from the result manually, or mentally mark them on the calendar.
- Weekend conventions: some countries (e.g. Israel) have Fri–Sat weekends and Sun–Thu workweeks — this tool assumes the standard Mon–Fri; adjust for regional calendars.
Deadline math
"End of business day" usually means 5–6 PM local — schedule buffers accordingly. And remember: same-day start counts as day 1 in most business contexts; the count mode here is exclusive (like standard date math), so add 1 when the start day itself counts.
